An Intrinsic introduction! Sporobolus ‘Golden Needles’ is a golden-leaved prairie dropseed with strong vigor and a size comparable to the species. Its fine-textured foliage emerges bright gold, shifts to chartreuse after July, and matures to rich golden tones in fall. Fragrant seed heads appear in late summer atop elegant flower stems. Growing 2–3 feet in height, this drought-tolerant plant thrives in dry to well-drained soils, with its brightest color developing in full sun and lean conditions. PPAF

Full sun, dry to medium soil. 1 gallon.
